At my sports book Chelsea is more of a favorite over Birmingham, than Manchester is vs. the Wolves. Why would this be? The Wolves are in last place in the league. Manchester is in first. Birmingham and Chelsea are in the middle.

Shouldn't Manchester be much more of a favorite? Will Manchester play their best players?

Also, is David Beckham of RM really that good of a player?

Cheers

Both sides look to be at a best priced -275 at this time. I can't speak for the odds makers but the reasons I would cite for them being similarly priced is Man.Utd are away whilst Chelsea are at home.

I did hear talk that Van Nistelrooy may be rested and Giggs was doubtful but they are both in the squad to travel to the game.

Another reason for the similar prices could be that Birmingham have played above most expectations to reach their current position in the table and have been on the slide a bit lately.

If I had to pick one match myself to put my money on it would be Man.Utd. However it should be noted when considering this advice that my current FA cup picks record is 0-4

To answer your question on Beckham: No

He is simply a fair to good player who is hyped up. Compared to Zidane, Figo etc. not in the same class IMO.

Kevin- I agree with jip about the reason for the games being priced the same. The fact that Man Utd is on the road is the only thing keeping that price at about -275. I get a strong feeling that Man Utd puts it to Wolves tomorrow. Wolves had to play a mid-week FA Cup replay and they're not a deep squad to begin with. I feel the Red Devils will come out firing tomorrow after their pretty quiet draw against Newcastle. Man Utd simply cannot afford to drop points in matches like this if they want to win the EPL.

I really like David Beckham. I know there's a lot of flash associated with his personality and lifestyle and all that stuff but he is a marvelous player. His creativity and pace make Real Madrid a much better team when he's in the line-up. The player on that squad who has really lost it is Luis Figo. He's lost more than a step and is the shell of the player he used to be.

man. u. loss is probably the upset of the year for the premier league.

As far as the beckam discussion goes, my 2 cents are that he is definately in the top 3 of Europe in terms of the long pass with a right foot, maybe even the best, and a decent foul shot, but other than that he lacks in so many aspects of his game i ll have to side with jip here, and say that he is vastly overatted, beckham has got no speed, no dribble, no shot within the penalti area, no strength, and plays no defence.

As for figo, i fully agree with bob, he's nowhere near the player he used to be, nowadays he is superfluous and unimaginative. He lacks the nerve and intensity he once had.
